This is the Detto Pietro frame built up with Campagnolo gear, and black saddle and bar tape - instead of white.

A while ago, I posted pics of a bike I painted and built for a friend. He had an "Accident" and damaged his right seat stay. It was repaired and the I repainted the carbon areas white. I like it much better than the bare carbon.

This is it. Detto Pietro finished.

This is a Detto Pietro frame I bought a while ago. I'm finally fixing it up. I wanted a modern look to the finished bike. It has lovely fluted tubes - much like Roman columns. The first image is stripped back to bare metal. The second is how I intend it to look when painted - matt black.

This is my Colnago Superissimo as it is today. I am considering repainting it as one of the options shown below. Any comments would be appreciated.

This is my Colnago Superissimo 1990. The first pics show what it originally looked like and what I did to it initially. The second 2 are what I am considering doing to it. There are 2 alternative designs - I'm still trying to figure out which one I like best. The saddle will be black. Or do I just leave it white and just replace the Saddle with black??? Any suggestions?

UCI Track Cycling World Championships

This is the poster I designed for a poster competition for the UCI Track Cycling World Championships to be held in Melbourne from the 4th of April.

The brief was to design a poster inspired by classic cycling posters of early last century.

My design harks back to the Russian Constructivist art movement of 1913 to the 1940’s. Bold colours, strong geometric shapes and the commitment to abstraction made it orderly and analytical.

Constructivist artists believed in the functionality and “truth” of their materials. Materials should be employed only in accordance with their function or character. This belief lends itself to cycling, as bikes are constructed in a way that their function bestows their character.
